Museum of Urban Civilization of Brașov |
|
The museum is located in a building that served as the shop of merchant families (Eremias, Savu) in the 19th century. The building retains parts of earlier constructions from the 16th–18th centuries, notable for the stone frame of a door and the Renaissance-era mural painting on the ground floor, featuring a blue background with giant flowers. The museum displays objects specific to a trading house – goods in the cellar and storage areas, in the shop on the ground floor, while upstairs the living quarters are illustrated through the family dining room and the children's room. The remaining rooms depict a milliner's workshop as well as a photo studio.

Brașov County Museum of History |
|
The museum is located in the old Brașov City Hall building, the place where decisions regarding the city and court proceedings were made. On the ground floor, numerous objects are displayed that illustrate the rich history of Brașov's crafts, as well as products of the city's art and technology. On the first floor, there are halls dedicated to significant events in Brașov's history, such as World War I and the 1987 Brașov workers' revolt. The museum also regularly organizes substantial temporary exhibitions, such as those on Neacșu's Letter and the Royal House of Romania, and hosts a comic book festival inspired by historical themes

| Olimpia - Museum of Sports and Mountain Tourism |
|
Opened in 2024, following a restoration project and a change of use of the building to establish a museum, Olimpia displays, in a seemingly small but but very well-organized space, a multitude of objects related to the sports practiced in our area. The substantial heritage consists of the museum's collections and donations from the people of Brașov. The exhibition style is interactive, combining tangible heritage with digital applications and gamification. The design was conceived to give elegance to the space and to maximize the value of the heritage. The newest museum carries out scientific research activities, exhibition and publication projects, and organizes various public events, using the sports fields (an ice rink in winter, a tennis court in summer), such as the Carnival on Ice.

Mureșenilor House Museum |
|
The museum opened in 1968, when the Mureșianu family donated a large part of their collections, documents, objects, and letters. Conceived as a memorial house for the family that played an important role in the history of the Romanians of Brașov, the museum is branded as the Museum of the National Anthem. The permanent exhibition unfolds across 8 rooms, each with its own theme: Andrei Mureșanu, the Family Genealogical Tree, the Portrait Gallery in the Living Room, the Art Room, the Women's Space, Gazeta Transilvaniei and the Mureșenilor Printing House, the Musical Instruments Room, and the Music of George Dima. Temporary exhibitions are hosted periodically in the space designed from the former offices. The museum is active through innovative projects, such as The Historical Facade of Brașov (a mural painting in the courtyard featuring characters and objects from other times), the revival of the historical dance Romana, a Romanian social dance whose music and choreography were created by Iacob Mureșianu, as well as digital and AI-based applications, etc.

The museum opened in 2004 following a donation from Ștefan Baciu's sister and her husband. The small space recreates the image of an interwar home, with its furniture, piano, paintings, and especially the family library. It is one of the few memorial museum spaces in Brașov County. The museum's slogan is Ștefan Baciu – the poet of the city.
Visiting Hours: Tuesday to Friday: 9.00 – 17.00

The First Romanian School Museum |
|
The museum is located in the courtyard of St. Nicholas Church in Șcheii Brașovului, housed in the school building. On the ground floor, there is the Classroom and another room dedicated to Deacon Coresi. On the upper floor, old books are displayed. The hall with the hearth features folk objects and costumes, as well as icons painted on glass in the tradition of the artistic school of Șcheii Brașovului. The last room is the temporary exhibition hall. The museum's heritage is also exhibited in Casa Barac, across three other spaces, without storage areas. Alongside furniture, books, and documents, the paintings with portraits of Brașov priests and teachers by Mișu Pop are very interesting, as well as objects from the Tudor Ciortea and Emil Bologa donation.
