
Bea Winkler, PhD, is Director General of the Ferenc Hutÿra Library, Archives and Museum at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest and Assistant Professor at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). With more than 20 years of experience in academic librarianship, she has combined library leadership with teaching and research throughout her career.
Alongside managing the university library, archives, and museum, she teaches courses at ELTE on Integrated Library Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Creative Community Spaces, and Introduction to LIS. Her research interests include artificial intelligence in libraries, scientometrics, research support, research evaluation, and the development of academic library services.
She has published in the fields of artificial intelligence, academic libraries, and financial literacy, and regularly presents at national and international conferences. She is an active member of several professional organisations, including the European Association for Health Information and Libraries (EAHIL), the European Veterinary Library Group (EVLG), and the Hungarian Medical Libraries Society (MOKSZ).
